Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care and medical procedures
- Perform basic life support techniques when necessary
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and handling billing and coding
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist with diagnostic tests, such as X-rays
- Educate patients on proper self-care techniques and provide instructions for medications or treatments
- Ensure a clean and organized medical environment
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a medical assistant training program or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Proficiency in medical administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and handling billing and coding
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide excellent patient service
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members
Skills:
- Basic life support (BLS) certification a plus.
- Proficiency in medical administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and handling billing and coding
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care in a professional manner
