Job description
We are a growing medical office in Charlotte, North Carolina. We provide urgent care and primary care services and are looking for an experienced medial office assistant/receptionist to join our team.
The Office Assistant will be responsible for the following:
- Welcoming patients to the office
- Answering and returning phone calls
- Taking and delivering messages
- Ensuring the office runs smoothly
- Scheduling meetings and sending meeting invites to attendees
- Faxing Referrals to doctors offices
- Obtaining Pre-authorizations for Prescriptions
- Scanning and uploading documents into the computer
- Obtaining Patient's records from doctors offices etc
- Other tasks as may be assigned by the employer
- Overseeing clerical tasks, such as sorting and sending mail
- Keeping an inventory of office supplies and ordering new materials as needed
- Maintaining files
Office Assistant skills and qualifications
Must be an experienced, multi-tasker, and incredibly well organized. Must have basic skills with common computer software and should be able to do send emails, manage calendars and order supplies etc. Other important skills and qualifications include:
- Good Interpersonal communication
- Exceptional Time management
- Good Customer service
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Flexibility and the ability to prioritize new tasks as they come in
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
