What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gifted Education Coordinator position at Eastwood Local SD?
We have a vacancy for our district Gifted Education Coordinator position for the 2025-26 school year.
This is a part-time position of approximately 60 days. The days will be flexible and based on the needs of the position.
The Gifted Education Coordinator will be responsible for the leadership, development, coordination, and implementation of all aspects of the K-12 gifted education program.
A qualified candidate should have:
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Ohio teaching certificate with validation in gifted education
- Successful completion of criminal background check
Primary responsibilities of the position include:
- Assist school personnel in the planning of assessment, testing, identification, service options, placement, and guidance of gifted children
- Assist teachers in developing students' Written Education Plans for services
- Prepare annual reports to meet local, state, and federal requirements
