Easy Does It, Inc. (EDI) is dedicated to improving the quality of life of individuals recovering from the effects of substance use disorder. You will lead EDI’s experienced team of certified recovery specialists and house managers to oversee client programming and daily operations of EDI’s licensed recovery house.

As a member of EDI’s Quality Committee, the Director of Operations is responsible for improving client outcomes and ensuring that programs and facilities operate effectively to promote a healthy atmosphere of recovery. Reporting to the Executive Director, work is performed with considerable independence and in accordance with established standards, regulations, policies, and procedures. The Director of Operations is a salaried position with generous benefits. The pay range is $65,000 to $75,000 annually.

Essential Duties

1. Oversee daily operations of EDI’s licensed recovery house and transportation.
2. Oversee delivery of certified recovery support services.
3. Recruit, train, evaluate, and retain frontline staff; be available on-call for emergencies.
4. Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate client programming.
5. Make decisions on client reengagement contracts, referrals to other services, and discharges.
6. Report, investigate, and resolve critical incidents internally and to external partners.
7. Develop, implement, and enforce organizational policies and procedures.
8. Attend and assist all major programs and recovery community events.
9. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Knowledge of substance use disorders, treatment modalities, the continuum of care in Pennsylvania, and recovery support services.
2. Knowledge of many pathways of recovery, including evidenced based practices, cognitive behavioral therapy, 12-step fellowships, medication assisted treatment, and others.
3. Knowledge of homelessness, HUD permanent housing, and licensed recovery housing.
4. Knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment, and recovery services.
5. Excellent professional judgment, communication, organizational, time management, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills.
6. Strong computer skills, especially MS Office products and electronic medical records.
7. Ability to effectively recruit, retain, and supervise frontline staff, including training, coaching, professional development, performing staff evaluations, and corrective action.
8. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and healthy boundaries with clients, staff, other professionals, organizations, and the general public.
9. Ability to interpret data, identify trends, evaluate outcomes, and recommend corrective actions and/or changes to programming, staffing, and organizational structure.
10. Self-directed, reliable, motivated, and able to prioritize and balance competing demands.

Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree required (Masters preferred) in human services, counseling, social work, or related field.
2. Minimum of five years’ experience working in the field of substance use disorders, such as residential treatment or recovery housing. 3. Minimum of three ears’ experience in supervisory/management roles in the field of substance use disorders.
4. If recovering from a substance use disorder, a minimum of five years of continuous recovery and must be actively engaged in a pathway of recovery.
5. If recovering from a mental health diagnosis, must be actively engaged in a pathway of recovery and/or under the care of a medical professional.

Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
