About the job Business Data Analyst - Remote
You will be involved in the end-to-end analytics solutions lifecycle, from gathering requirements to ensuring data is optimized for dashboard delivery. As a technical partner and analytics expert, you will work with tableau developers, systems owners, and stakeholders to develop a strong data foundation. Your role is instrumental in maturing our analytic practices to ensure we are delivering scalable solutions while minimizing technical debt.
What you will be doing :
- You will be responsible for many aspects of architecture and technology delivery and provide oversight of data creation, modeling and querying for analytics (e.g., designing data lake model, setting up connections to new data sources, code reviews, mentoring junior talent)
- Developing and driving a strategic technical roadmap, including reducing technical risks / debt, and building the technical foundation for years to come
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, goals, and objectives, evaluate datas current state, support development of future state and resolve complex technical challenges around data availability and quality
- Automate data extraction from various sources, develop data flows, and transfer to HIVE schemas leveraging Dataiku
- Serve as a subject matter expertise for Dataiku (ETL) and querying for team, which includes diagnosing issues, sharing best practices, and developing simple / maintainable queries
- Work with the team to ensure quality objectives are met for both functional and non-functional requirements.
