Easy Signs is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing high-quality visuals for signage, marketing materials, and digital content that align with our brand identity and customer needs. You will collaborate with the marketing and production teams to create eye-catching designs that enhance our products and services.
Responsibilities
- Review customer provided artwork to ensure it is suitable for printing.
- Create artwork proofs and email them to our customers.
- Create signage designs from a customer supplied brief.
- Setup artwork files to strict specifications for our manufacturing equipment.
- Communicate with our customer service team about jobs and also directly with our customers via phone and email.
- Proofing, setting up and designing around 40 jobs a day. This is a fast paced role. Our designs are usually put together within 10 - 30 minutes.
Knowledge Requirements
- Diploma of Graphic Design or relevant experience A MUST. If you have just graduated from your studies, this role will be ideal as it will help further your knowledge of prepress design requirements which is typically recommended following your studies.
- Advanced skills with Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop- knowing keyboard shortcuts is going to be a real time-saver in this role.
- You will be sitting in front of a computer with 2 screens for most of your day, with 5 or more applications running that you are switching between.
- A good grasp on the English language. You are writing emails all day and discussing designs over the phone. All of this communication needs to be well written, friendly and professional.
- Ability to work at a fast pace under pressure. You’ll be processing a number of jobs each day and designs are typically put together rather quickly. This means you need to be able to maintain a high quality of work while processing jobs quickly to meet our service agreements.
- Ability to follow processes accurately. We have a number of different processes in place that are already documented and readily accessible throughout your shift. This helps ensure we are processing jobs as efficiently as possible.
