Job Description
The Events & Education Lead is a food enthusiast who passionately engages guests in Eataly’s mission through events and educational programming. Reports to the Events & Education Manager.
- Executes public and private events including room set up and break down, preparing collateral, serveware, glassware, and linens for specialized cooking/wine/food knowledge classes, buyouts, tastings and private receptions
- Supervises staff members during events to ensure smooth execution
- Compiles instructor biographies, Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s); and creates class registration pages online
- Fosters accountability in departments and interdepartmental collaboration when planning events
- Completes administrative tasks
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1-2 years of experience in restaurant operations, sales management, marketing or event planning
- Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills
- Outstanding professional communication and editorial skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Italian wine and gastronomy
- Proficiency in Italian language preferred
