SUMMARY:
The Document Control Specialist ensures that company system documentation (e.g., SOPs, Work Instructions, Forms, Records, etc.) is adequately approved, controlled, and maintained in compliance with BRC standards. Additionally, the Document Control Specialist proposes and implements improvements to document control systems. This role will also be responsible for production scheduling and inventory control, ensuring alignment with operational demands.
EE DALLAS QB, INC. and V.G. are vertically integrated extrusion and thermoforming manufactures of polymers for drink cups, food containers, and containers with tamper evident technologies with operations in Taiwan and a state-of-the art manufacturing facility in DeSoto TX. Combined facilities and warehousing in excess of 2MM sq. ft.
ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITES:

- Follow all EE Dallas QB Inc. facility and corporate ES&H procedures and practices.
- Attend and actively participate in facility ESH meetings and forums that will drive employee involvement.
- Participate in JSA’s, and other site safety reviews.
- Complete all required ESHA training in a timely fashion
- Participate in any safety investigations when called upon to do so.
- Ensure all Thermoforming activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
- Promote a safe working environment and enforce safety standards.
- Investigate and report any workplace incidents or accidents.
- Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are followed by all individuals.
- Implement and monitor food safety procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Conduct regular training sessions on GMP, food safety and EHS protocols for all packaging staff.
- Perform routine audits to verify adherence to GMP, food safety and EHS standards.
- As their employees are entering the floor, leads should ensure that their teams are wearing the correct PPE.
- Investigate safety related incidents by filling out those forms for near misses and incidents.
- Helps to ensure the safety of the facility by doing the daily door checks.
- Toolbox talks can be given before their shifts.
QUALITY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and address product quality issues, implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to GMPs and communicate with the Quality Control (QC) team to resolve quality concerns.
- Review operator paperwork throughout the shift for accuracy and compliance.
- Promptly report any pest-related or safety concerns
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages the assignment, distribution, tracking and closure of internal and external NCR’s, ensuring all documentation is complete.
- Works with department personnel to ensure NCRs are closed according to SOP timelines and are verified.
- Manages the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Program to ensure all documentation is current, and in compliance with current business practices.
- Creates, revises, and issues new SOPs according to Eatery Essentials procedures.
- Reformat SOPs and associated forms to comply with approved templates.
- Coordinates with department management regarding the training materials needed for SOP. Assist in training of new SOP and compliance for new hires and existing employees as SOPs are revised.
- Maintains the Master documentation matrix.
- Coordinates the employee training involved with new/revised SOPs.
- Maintains the Eatery Essentials current employee training list.
- Maintains the training files for Eatery Essentials employees.
- Responsible for updating and filing changes to finished product specifications.
- Responsible for conducting Mock Recall exercises.
- Responsible for actively participating during internal and external audit.
- Special projects as assigned by Quality Manager/Supervisor.
- Helps ensure the CAPA team verifies NCs.
- Creates and delivers training using Alchemy.
- Develops and maintains the production schedule to optimize resource allocation, ensuring timely production and delivery of finished goods.
- Monitors and manages inventory levels to ensure the availability of raw materials and finished goods, coordinating with purchasing and production teams.
- Collaborates with operations and quality teams to align inventory control measures with production planning and quality standards.
- Analyzes inventory reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and potential improvements in stock management.
- Ensures compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements in all document control and inventory management practices.
- Acts as the point of contact for creating Letters of Guarantee and sending certifications to Sales.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager/Supervisor.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills as well as the ability to interface with all levels of management and subject matter experts from different departments.
- Strong organizational skills. Attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities while working under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in time management, working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to lead on projects and training for continuous improvement of the company.
- Strong teamwork and independent work capabilities with limited supervision.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and its programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Three (3 ) plus years as a Document Control Coordinator role within a regulated manufacturing industry or five (5 ) plus years in a Document Control Coordinator role and Quality Assurance.
- Experience in production scheduling and inventory control in a manufacturing environment preferred.
