As a clinical professional at ERC Pathlight, you can expect to be a part of a team that delivers hands-on treatment, and/or support to our patients in one of our many centers around the nation.
The Float Registered Nurse (RN) provides coordinated medical and clinical nursing care to meet the needs of each assigned patient within the ERC Pathlight system. They will partner with a interdisciplinary team to provide quality care and a consistently therapeutic milieu for all patients.
As a leader of the health care team, the Float RN provides professional nursing care, utilizing sound clinical judgement, in alignment with ERC Pathlights established standards of care, policies, and procedures. They are expected to remain flexible, demonstrate effective, efficient care while maintaining quality, in alignment with ERC Pathlights vision, mission, and strategic plan. All teammates are expected to treat patients, families, and co-workers with dignity and respect.
The Float Registered Nurse must be:
- Willing and able to work at all ERC Pathlight local sites as assigned.
- Compliant with licensure and certification requirements for each practice location.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to meet organizational staffing needs.
- Available to work weekends and holidays as required.
You will serve patients daily in a multitude of ways:
- Performs a full range of nursing services including assessing, planning, administering and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans. Performs initial intake and assessment of new patients, administers medications, injections, manage IVs, place and maintain nasogastric tube feeds, and provides wound care. Administers medications and treatments to patients according to orders and or protocols, effectively labels, collects and processes patient specimens. Performs and documents vital signs, responses to treatment, education and nursing care in the electronic health care record. Receivers, places and documents provider communication/orders. Manages patient assignments within assigned shift. Supervises and delegates LPN/LVN's and BHC staff.
- Coordinates with the treatment team the development and implementation of an individualized treatment plan for each assigned patient. Ensures that care reflects the goals of the patients outcome activities.
- Attends and participates in clinical team conferences regarding patient progress, problems and needs. Documents and reports patient progress to the treatment team.
- Trains, teachers and mentors new nursing staff.
- Responds to emergency situations until emergency services (911) arrive on scene.
Must Haves:
- Associates degree required, bachelors degree preferred.
- Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
- 1 year working with patients in the mental health field preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, which may include working frequent evenings and weekends.

Base compensation for the Registered Nurse role ranges from $40.00 - $49.00. Ranges are based upon market expectations and are dependent upon candidate experience.
Float differential is an additional $5.00 per hour.
