Job Description
The Senior IT Warehousing Scrum Master is a critical role in the Corporate Sector division of Eaton.
Responsibilities:
- Oversight and management of one or more product and software development teams as a servant leader.
- Ensuring teams follow and understand Agile practices and Scrum framework values, work to increase team efficiency, provide motivation and guidance for process improvement, and support adoption of Agile mindset and scaling within the enterprise.
- Facilitating all Scrum events, ensuring they are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.
- Elimination of cross VS impediments.
- Collaboration with Product Owners, engineers, and other product team members to execute the product roadmap, guide the product development lifecycle, help create user stories, manage the product backlog, and assist with value-based prioritization.
- Accountability for all Agile ceremonies of a Scrum team including planning, review, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
- Driving a Secure Product Development Lifecycle approach that establishes a strong cybersecurity focus and culture across the entire engineering lifecycle.
- Training, mentoring, and supporting Scrum teams and others within the enterprise to follow and deeply understand Agile values, principles, and practices.
- Using Agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions.
- Assisting the Product Owner with roadmapping, epic creation, decomposition, and multi-sprint planning.
- Supporting the estimation and prioritization of user stories.
- Collecting, tracking, and reporting Agile metrics on performance and progress.
- Supporting the identification and implementation of improvement opportunities.
- Supporting the resolution of impediments and escalating where required.
- Coordinating with other Agile teams to ensure alignment and management of dependencies, including participation in Scrum of Scrums or related ceremonies where applicable.
- Ensuring a psychologically safe environment for the team to raise and resolve issues.
- Leading the capacity planning for each sprint.
- Communicating risks, status, and general updates to stakeholders.
- Improving the Agile maturity of the team on a continuous basis.
- Supporting the Product Owner in cost tracking for Scrum projects.
- Supporting Resource Managers with Vendor Management and contractor onboarding.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
- 7 years of experience working on an Agile team or leading technology projects.
- 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master leading technology projects.
- Candidates must reside within 50 miles of one of the posted locations and report on-site 3 days a week.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Scrum Master certification preferred.
- Experience leading warehouse management and logistics projects.
- Experience leading highly complex projects, programs, and teams.
- Strong understanding of product management and modern product delivery processes.
- Deep experience working with Agile, including Scrum or Kanban, and how to practice Agile at scale.
- Expertise with Agile software tools and producing Agile artifacts.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles.
- Deep experience with modern software development principles, including code management, test automation, APIs, microservices, and cloud services.
- Able to coach multiple teams.
- Knowledge of distribution center operations and transportation processes a benefit.
