Job Purpose:
Established, mid-sized, downtown Baton Rouge law firm is seeking a legal account manager to work in a fast-paced environment. The job demands a problem-solver who is well-organized, detail-oriented and a good communicator. The goal of a Legal Account Manager is to process accounts effectively and efficiently, to their appropriate conclusion, while adhering to regulation and client expectation. Duties:
I. ACCOUNT PROCESSING: Legal Account Managers handle accounts assigned to them and oversee files through Suit, Judgment, and funding phases of the legal process. They do this by reviewing account records, producing legal documents, and monitoring the resolution of accounts. Legal Account Managers work their files independently, while utilizing the other team members and management for advice on best practices and issue resolution.
II. ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT: Legal Account Managers are responsible for the upkeep of their files. They need to notate the file with any relevant information. They need to follow up with the clients, courts, and other parties when necessary.

IV. OTHER DUTIES: Ability to self start and work autonomously while being a part of a team. Sharing and utilizing the best practices to accomplish primary job functions. Additional job duties may from time to time be assigned by the Legal Department Manager.
Job Qualifications:
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work within reporting deadlines and ensure an accurate product
- Knowledge of the civil legal process is beneficial but not necessary
- Customer service experience preferred, but not required
- 4-year college degree or paralegal certification required
