What are the responsibilities and job description for the NTD Level II position at Eaton Manufacturing?
Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a NDT Level II.The hourly rate for this position is 29 per hour. The hours for 1st shift are as follows; 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What you’ll do:
In this function you will:• Set up and conduct processes involving liquid penetrants and Magnetic Particle Inspections to detect, evaluate, and report on defects such as, porosity, cracks, and other discontinuities. NAS STD 410 and ASTME 1417, ASTM-E-1444 compliance• Set up, adjust, and control electronic equipment such as ultraviolet devices to evaluate material contents, bonds, surface and sub-surface flows and discontinuities to the specifications outlined by written procedure or verbal instruction.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of two (2) years inspection experience, which must include utilization of mechanical gaging devices with variable dimension readout capability.• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of North Charleston, SC will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
