What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Application Specialist-Eaton Rapids position at Eaton Rapids Medical Center?
Assists with the maintenance improvement of the hospital's electronic health record system to achieve optimum use. Troubleshoots and resolves software flow issues through proper testing and implementation. Assists in the development of methods for collecting, organizing and reporting data to meet all state/federal regulations related to meaningful use, quality, and other areas as assigned. Serves as a liaison between staff and Informatics Analyst. Provides training for staff, as appropriate for assigned systems. Is involved in developing safe work practices and is held accountable for the day to day efforts of ensuring a safe workplace by following safe work place practices.
- Assists with the continued maintenance and improvement of the hospital's clinical software system.
- Assists with the development/maintenance of required electronic health record, quality and other reports necessary to meet state/federal regulations.
- Troubleshoots and resolves software flow issues through proper testing and implementation.
- Provides training for staff, as appropriate, for assigned systems.
Associates degree and/or related certifications preferred. Clinical experience/certifications preferred. Excellent computer skills. Electronic health record (Meditech and/or Epic) proficiency beneficial. Experience in building of electronic health record systems beneficial. At least 2 years of healthcare related systems experience preferred. Ability to follow and comprehend detailed procedures.
