Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Facilities Engineering Manager. The position will be based at our facility in Sumter, SC and does offer relocation assistance.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $93750.03 - $137500.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:
Position Overview: Are you ready to lead and innovate? As a Facilities Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our plant infrastructure. Your mission will be to execute projects that ensure our facilities operate at peak efficiency. You'll research and implement solutions, recommend capital purchases, and troubleshoot technical issues. Your expertise will support various facility processes, including manufacturing engineering, ATS (Automated Technical Services), Human Resources, and MESH.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and execute facility-related projects using timelines and project management tools.
- Capital Planning: Provide input for plant capital (infrastructure) plans and recommend capital equipment purchases.
- Equipment Upgrades: Evaluate, specify, and implement operations and upgrades for new and existing equipment.
- Procurement: Initiate purchases for materials and equipment necessary for facility operations.
- Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with key plant processes and provide support as directed by the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
- System Maintenance: Manage and maintain HVAC, compressed air, plumbing, lighting, electrical, gas, and other key facility systems in conjunction with ATS, contractors, and facility technicians.
- Contractor Coordination: Guide the ATS maintenance contractor on facility maintenance and projects, including prioritization, scheduling, coordination, execution, and billing.
- Budget Management: Plan and control expenditures for facility programs and maintain applicable records. Prepare reports on new methods.
- Safety Initiatives: Deploy ESH initiatives to support a Zero Incident Culture.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) tools.
- Culture Building: Foster a culture that promotes the Eaton Quality System and Eaton Leadership Model.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in facility maintenance/engineering
- Minimum of 1 year experience managing people and/or leading project teams
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution
- 5 years experience in facility maintenance/engineering capacity.
- 3 years experience managing people and/or leading project teams
- Project Management experience
- Experience Managing electrical/mechanical contractors

- Demonstrated proficiency with basic manufacturing tools such as Lean, Six-Sigma, problem solving/decision making.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated ability to lead and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support customer and manufacturing requirements
- Ability to influence without authority
- Proficiency with Auto Cad
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; reach at or above shoulder level; grip; and use hands to handle and feel. The employee is frequently required to walk; stoop; lift; carry; push; pull; and grip. The employee is frequently required to lift/carry up to 35 pounds. The employee is frequently required to push/pull up to or greater than 35 pounds. The vision requirements include far and close vision with depth perception and color discrimination. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to listen and to talk.
