What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Manager - Distributed UPS position at Eaton?
Eaton’s Electrical Division is currently seeking a Product Manager to join our team. This position can be based in Woodridge, Illinois or Raleigh, NC.
As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for cradle to grave product management of the Endpoint UPS, Network-Class UPS and Power Conversion portfolios. You will own the customer lifecycle experience of the offering including pricing, quotation, sales support, and issue escalation. You’ll lead a team of Associate Product Managers to achieve goals.
In this role, you will:
- Develop strategic commercial plan and measure execution
- Increase revenue/market share and margins
- Partner with marketing team to develop sales tools and marketing collateral
- Perform primary and secondary market research to determine new vertical markets as well as investigate and track economic conditions
- Lead VoC and Customer Advisory Boards, conducting competitive analysis and mapping technology adoption
- Identify strategic opportunities and develop key strategic initiatives with sales team
- Support sales calls and represent the product offering at tradeshows and conferences
- Develop new product offerings and segments
- Lead market research in the form of analyzing market reports, leading
- Provide marketing leadership to Global Engineering and Manufacturing teams
- Champion new product development initiatives to ensure complete and successful launch of product VoC and Customer Advisory Boards, conducting competitive analysis and mapping technology adoption
- Direct and oversee new product development initiatives in product category for both disruptive and incremental outcomes.
- Meet product line metrics including revenue, margin, and inventory.
- Manage digital content, driving thought leadership, marketing messaging, and implementing continuous process improvement.
- Maintain key organizational relationships with manufacturing and engineering stakeholders.
- Determine the forecasts for each product line and participate in the forecasting process from a PM perspective.
Qualifications
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of six (6) years of Sales, Marketing, or Engineering experience
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Engineering or Marketing.
- Master’s degree in engineering or business
- At least 4 years of experience with cradle to grave product management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated track record driving product line growth
- International experience
- Strong executive presence
- Solid negotiation skills and knowledge of marketing techniques including experience in sales
- Results-oriented
