Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Program Manager II - CPA. This position supports programs across all CPA plants and product lines and requires up to 25% travel. Only candidates in the Southeast Region of the US will be considered (NC, SC, GA, TN).


This position is responsible for management of Engineering R&D, OpEx, and Continuous Improvement programs for Eaton's Commercial Products & Assemblies Division. The Program Manager II manages the planning, execution, requirements changes, risk mitigation, and issue tracking of complex programs to successfully achieve organizational goals. This will include the application of PROLaunch NPI, VAVE, STP, or BPS processes.


The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 - $154000.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage critical, complex programs for a variety of disciplines impacting multiple sites or product lines within the division.
  • Understand CPA’s product portfolio and manufacturing strategies. Establish a presence within all plants and product lines and an excellent working relationship with respective leaders.
  • Determine and implement program management tools and processes to achieve program goals relevant to schedule, budget, technical and quality commitments. This may include application of PROLaunch NPI, VA/VE, STP, BPS processes or alternate industry best practices as deemed appropriate.
  • Direct global project teams. Identify required activities across functions and locations and hold team members accountable for successful execution. Maintain a structured resource allocation plan.
  • Employ effective requirements and change management techniques. Assess and promptly communicate potential impacts of any changes and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Lead teams in program risk assessment and deployment of sound mitigation strategies. Monitor risk and take decisive and early action to resolve any issues.
  • Maintain a robust Communications Plan, inclusive of regular presentations to senior leaders relevant to status of programs. Prepare and publish formal program metrics and reports on a (minimum) monthly basis.
  • Participate in annual planning processes such as road mapping, waterlining, EBS pull events, and profit planning. Understand CPA strategic plans and help determine project priorities within the portfolio.
  • Understand Eaton program management, financial, and productivity tracking systems and processes. Work with product line and plant leaders to accurately forecast, monitor, and report on program financials.
  • Serve as a PROLaunch champion, mentor other PMs in the PMO community, help with implementation of improvement action plans and standardization of PM best practices.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience leading programs or projects for engineering or manufacturing teams.
  • 2 years of experience with product design and manufacturing processes.
  • Completed PMP Certification
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Master's Degree from an accredited institution in a Business or Engineering Discipline
  • A minimum of 8 years experience in program management and leadership of project teams.
  • Completed Agile certification
  • Experience managing complex projects with global, cross functional teams.
  • Experience with Eaton’s NPI & STP processes.

Skills:

  • Must be able to travel 25% of the time.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports and technical presentations to Eaton management and customer.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen, must be a strategic thinker and confident decision maker.
  • Must be able to achieve goals by working collaboratively and cross-functionally. Demonstrated ability to hold self and others accountable.
  • Must be capable of working effectively in diverse cultural situations with our global team members. Strong interpersonal skills required.
  • Must be capable of initiating and providing recommendations for Business Unit and Division senior leadership review and approval that will achieve desired outcomes.
