This position is responsible for routine patrol, response to calls for service, preliminary investigations, traffic regulation duties, and problem solving. Utilizing a thorough working knowledge of Federal, State and local laws and ordinances, the police officer is responsible for the enforcement of such laws on a fair and impartial basis in the protection of life and property and in maintaining the peace and orderly conduct of the community.
