Job Title: Facility Technician

Position Summary: Under the general supervision of the facilities manager, the facility technician is responsible for performing multiple duties relative to the upkeep and functionality of physical structure(s) (interior and exterior) and equipment of Cooperative Health. Duties include, but are not limited to, service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and electrical servicing. As well as regular lawn maintenance, equipment and/or furniture installation, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.

Principles Responsibilities:
Perform facility inspections, prepare, and submit reports of conditions of company-owned buildings recommending solutions
Perform preventive maintenance of facilities and equipment in compliance with regulatory safety codes
Perform general maintenance and manual repairs to properties (interior and exterior)
Collaborate with quality system internal audit to complete review of physical structures
Perform urgent and/or corrective repairs
Maintain patient confidentiality
Support after hour building needs and activities, as necessary
Knowledge of company issued equipment for the purpose of completing essential functions
Operate and maintain company vehicle and equipment
Determine supplies and equipment needed to perform duties
Delivery of supplies throughout organization
Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes and work collaboratively to provide quality customer service.
Comply with all organizational policies and procedures
Participate and complete training essential to job function
Perform other duties are related to position
Education & Experience:
Associate degree from an institution accredited by a recognized accrediting institution.
A combination of a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of proven experience in similar field.
A minimum of 1-year prior experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Must be able and willing to travel company service area.
Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field a plus.

Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods sitting or standing
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Be able to sit, stand, stoop, squat for extended periods of time throughout the day
- Standing or walking for extended periods throughout the day
