We’re looking for a dynamic, active, and compassionate individual to provide respite care for an amazing school-age boy in the Eau Claire area. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Create a positive, active experience for an energetic young boy
- Mentorship & companionship: Build a trusting relationship while offering guidance and support
- Active engagement: Participate in fun activities around Eau Claire like hiking, trampoline parks, video games, and much more!
- Behavioral support: Be mindful of behaviors and use redirection strategies to keep the child safe and engaged
- Quick response skills: Help manage any situations where the child may attempt to elope, ensuring his safety with quick, thoughtful action
- Provide individual care: The child will be the only one in your care during your shift to ensure personalized attention

What We’re Looking For:
- Energetic & active individuals: You love being on your feet, engaging in activities, and keeping up with an adventurous child
- Experience with childcare: Especially those with a background in handling aggressive behavior and redirection
- Mentorship skills: The ability to build a positive, lasting connection with the child
- Reliable and responsive: You can quickly react to ensure the child’s safety and well-being
- Male influence preferred: While the family is looking for a male caregiver, all experienced applicants are encouraged to apply!
- Childcare students encouraged: If you’re studying childcare, this is a great opportunity for hands-on experience!
Required:
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Clean driving record (5 years) and reliable transportation to/from work
- Criminal/caregiver background check
- Compassionate, trustworthy, and experienced in childcare
- A genuine love for kids and a desire to make a difference!
