The Position – Residential Estimator                                        

We are seeking an efficient and professional Residential Estimator. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of electrician experience with a specialization in estimating. Sales experience is also a plus. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for a wide range of residential service jobs. A best described overview of the qualifications for this position would be a capable electrician who is able to quote and estimate work. Residential electrical job quoting experience is a must. The active candidate will be more of a “non-active” electrician who focuses on site visits, estimates and quotes. The day-to-day tasks of the Residential Estimator typically include, but not limited to:

Estimate Preparation: Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for residential electrical projects and service opportunities.

Collaboration: Work closely with department managers, service electricians and technicians, and other team members to gather necessary information and ensure estimates reflect the full scope of the project.

Software Utilization: Utilize industry-standard estimating software to create precise and reliable estimates. Assess and recommend estimating tools and software to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the estimating process.

Continuous Process Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the estimating process.

Pay

·      Job Type: Full-time

·      Pay: Competitive Salary and comprehensive benefits package

·      Bonuses: Pay for performance bonuses paid quarterly (based on the profitability of the company); target annual bonus is $5,000.00 per year

Vacation and Holiday

·      7 days Paid Time Off (PTO) (includes both vacation and sick time); employees receive 12 days of PTO after 5 years

of service, PLUS.

·      9 Major Holidays paid (New Years, Memorial Day, July 4^th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve,

Christmas Day, New Years Eve)

·      Eau Gallie Electric Bonus Week (1 additional week of Paid Time Off (PTO) during the week between Christmas and

New Years to spend with your family and friends).

Insurance and Retirement

·      100% of the company paid health insurance.

·      100% matches the company retirement plan, up to 6% of total yearly pay.

·      $75,000 in life insurance (paid for by the company)

·      Short term and Long-term disability insurance (paid for by the company)

·      Access to company therapist and/or minister as needed (paid for by the company)

Continuing Education

·      Company paid Journeyman and Master electrician education courses (paid for by the company)

·      This opening is for long-term employment, we are not hiring for a specific job. No matter what your level of experience their room will always be to move up to increasing responsibility.

Minimum Requirements

The Residential Service Electrician shall meet the following minimum requirements:

·      Valid driver’s license with own reliable transportation.

·      10 years of electrician experience

·      Related or direct residential electric estimating experience

·      Formal Electrical certifications and/or licenses (Journeyman and/or Master level proficiency)

·      OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification (preferred).

·      Other duties as assigned.
