YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and maintain structured, compliant project files in both digital and physical formats
- Utilize VDOT construction contract administration software to process and track project documents
- Generate and coordinate the development of project reports and correspondence
- Attend construction meetings and prepare and distribute accurate meeting minutes
- Monitor contractor compliance with federal and state labor regulations, including Equal Employment Opportunity and wage compliance
- Maintain an issue log regarding Notices of Intent to file claims and document issue timelines and resolution status
- Support project manager with budgeting and invoicing tasks
- Assist with project close-out and maintain as-built drawings
- Prepare and issue monthly contractor performance evaluations
- Perform reviews and audits of final project records for completeness and accuracy
CORE REQUIREMENTS:
To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- 7 years of construction project records management experience
- A bachelor's degree, preferably in construction management or engineering
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and PlanGrid
- Experience with Virginia Department of Transportation procedures, bid items, plans, and specifications is desired
