(EBA) is seeking GIS Technicians to support the development and maintenance of an Enterprise GIS system for a Department of Transportation client. This is a fully remote opportunity, ideal for professionals who thrive in a collaborative virtual environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a GIS Technician, you will:
- Design and build GIS-based solutions for data extraction, transformation, analysis, visualization, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and interactive web mapping applications.
- Perform ETL (extract, transform, load), validation, and modeling of geospatial data.
- Build and maintain GIS applications using scripting and geoprocessing tools.
- Configure, integrate, and optimize enterprise GIS platforms.
- Conduct spatial analysis and produce decision-support reports.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- BS or BA degree from accredited university with 9 credit hours in GIS courses
- 3 years of experience
- Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS
- Data editing skills, including attributes, geometric features, and metadata
- Map creation and geospatial product development
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience supporting transportation GIS projects
- Proficiency in GIS platforms such as Safe Software FME, VertiGIS, and others
- Experience with Linear Referencing System (LRS) route and event editing
- Familiarity with Tableau for spatial and non-spatial data visualization.
- Knowledge of HPMS/SLD Manager for highway data and straight-line diagramming.
