Structural/Bridge Engineer

EBA Engineering, Inc. (EBA) is actively seeking a junior level Structural/Bridge Engineer to join our team. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Structural/Bridge Engineer at EBA, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:

• Performing structural analysis and design for transportation structures such as bridges, retaining walls, box culverts, and pipes.
• Conducting load ratings for bridges, box culverts, and pipes.
• Preparing engineering calculations and developing design drawings.
• Reviewing drawings and reports to develop design options, repair recommendations, and cost estimates.
• Conducting fieldwork, including site visits and bridge inspections, and preparing inspection reports.
• Confirming work is in compliance with AASHTO, MDOT SHA, and project-specific standards and requirements.

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

• A bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in steel and concrete design
• Proficiency in using MicroStation and AutoCAD for bridge projects
• Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD code requirements
• A Maryland EIT
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• A Maryland PE
• NBIS Bridge Inspection Team Leader Certification
