Job Summary:

The Jr. Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for overseeing inventory flows in our organization. His/her job description involves coordinating the outflow and inflow of inventory, as well as incoming/outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, loading, and storage activities. You will provide optimal support for all departments with regards to inventory controls and valuation.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Plan every activity that relates to inventory control in the organization or warehouse environment.
• Ensure all items in the warehouse are appropriately received and stored properly.
• Receive and issue warehouse stock products to work orders.
• Ensure materials are checked against vendors’ invoice/packing list, bills of lading, customer supplied orders and follows proper receiving processes and procedures.
• Complete daily cycle counts.
• Monitors and maintains current inventory levels; processes purchasing orders as received; tracks orders and investigates problems.
• Report daily stock transactions, outflow, shortages, inaccuracies, and write-offs.
• Compile inventory information.
• Inventory Key Performance Indicators: location accuracy and absolute variance.
• Partner with Finance Department weekly ensuring inventory is properly valued.
• Other duties as specified by the Plant Manager.

Education & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Familiarization with MRP Systems
• Ability to multi-task, plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret goals, objectives, and policies.
• Must have the ability to analyze problems, eliminate unreasonable causes, and develop solutions.

Requirements:

• Physical:
  • Sitting, Standing, and Walking.
  • Carrying, Stooping, Lifting and Reaching.
  • Lifting Requirements: Up to 50 pounds.
• Mental
  • Mathematical: advanced Math, including geometry and trigonometry.
  • Language: English, both oral and written.
  • Requires daily communication with multiple departments to insure maximum efficiency.

• Hours of operation: 6:00am to 2:30pm
• Overtime as required.
