Business Operations is a newly formed organization that serves as the connective tissue of the organization, to drive cross-functional alignment and enable execution, operational efficiency, and growth. We are seeking a data driven, action-oriented, and a strategic minded individual to join our Business Operations team. The Manager of Business Operations will play a critical leadership role in guiding eBay’s next level of growth and transformation.

This role will focus on overall eBay performance management and reporting. This role is critical in helping to expand our ability to help the executive level leadership team maintain a pulse on the business through ownership of the company level weekly business reviews, monthly business reviews, executive reporting. This will require someone with an incredible ability to drive analysis and insights around business performance.

In this role you will:

• Proactively lead drive deep dives into business performance issues by anticipating inquiries and launching analysis in partnership with business stakeholders

• Support business reviews by building scorecards, dashboards, and other tools to bring strategic insights to leadership levels

• Lead ad hoc initiatives that are essential to helping eBay meet business goals for the year and require cross-functional execution

• Support strategy and planning team in creation of financial models and business plans

• Collaborate with finance and other functions to ensure we are creating a clear understanding of performance, facilitating the right discussions about performance, and delivering the right insights timely

The role requires someone who:

• Is data driven

• Can build the business “story” and then is able to develop the materials to support the telling of that narrative to an executive level audience

• Is detailed oriented and has the ability to balance dynamic tasks with short turnaround

• Is great with numbers and metrics, can absorb both quantitative and qualitative information, synthesize and strategically summarize takeaways

• Is an entrepreneurial self-starter with a bias towards action in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment

• Has the confidence and maturity to interact with senior executives, often making requests of their time to provide inputs to a collaborative project

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS Required, MS/MBA Preferred

• 5-8 years experience in business operations, Finance, corporate strategy, or a major consulting firm required

• Executive-level presentation and communication skills with world-class capabilities in PowerPoint and Excel required

• Strong knowledge of SQL, Tableau a plus

• Proven track record of building insights, analysis for executive level audiences

• Successful candidates will have a passion for eCommerce marketplaces, exhibit a strong bias for action, possess collaboration and partner management skills and an intuition in balancing “right” and “fast”

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York City is expected in the range below.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
