Job Description
eBay’s Americas Litigation team is looking to hire a highly motivated Litigation Paralegal. This position will partner closely with the Americas Litigation team, and a “can-do” attitude in the following areas is essential:
- Processing third-party requests, including court orders, contractual liens, tax levies, and subpoenas.
- Responding to inquiries from eBay members regarding third-party requests.
- Ability to utilize eBay systems to research member accounts and take necessary account actions.
- Tracking service metrics and reporting to managers on volume trends.
- Supporting case teams with account research.
- Working cross-functionally with other business units and legal groups (privacy, IP, collections) to effectively carry out responsibilities.
Skills/Requirements
- 1 year prior experience with eBay policies, tools, and procedures for handling court orders directed at users.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree or paralegal certificate preferred. Understanding the eBay marketplace
- - experience buying and selling is a plus.
- Knowledge of legal terminology.
- A high level of integrity commensurate with handling sensitive or confidential information.
- Internally motivated to excel, ability to work with minimal supervision, and ability to “supervise up” as necessary.
- Strong professional communication skills, positive inter-team communication, a good sense of humor, and strong sense of camaraderie.
- Ability and willingness to learn and grow in the role as circumstances require.
- Must be detail-oriented, able to balance multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
