Overview
A well established New Orleans law firm is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Transactional/Corporate Legal Assistant with at least three years of experience to join their team in the New Orleans office. This position experience with real estate and mergers and acquisitions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process transactional documents such as purchase and sale agreements, debt and equity formation agreements, merger and acquisition agreements and related documents and financial instruments.
- Manage contract execution and delivery, transaction checklists, business formation documents, etc.
- Proofread documents and check for appropriate formatting, spelling and grammar. Complete revisions, compare versions and prepare redline documents as directed.
- Effectively organize and maintain documents and files within a document management system.
- Demonstrate an effective teamwork attitude and provide assistance to other legal assistants, attorneys and paralegals
- Reliable and predictable attendance. Occasional overtime work may be required.
