What are the responsibilities and job description for the Curriculum Specialist position at Ebenezer Child Care Centers, Inc.?
At Ebenezer Child Care Centers, we believe that early childhood education is rooted in love, learning, and leadership. We’re looking for a Curriculum Specialist who is passionate about nurturing young minds, empowering educators, and helping our programs shine with developmentally appropriate, play-based learning.
This isn’t just a job—it’s a purpose. As our new Curriculum Specialist, you’ll play a key role in guiding and supporting our amazing teaching staff, ages 4 weeks to 12 years, across all Ebenezer sites. You’ll work closely with our leadership team to ensure high-quality, enriching curriculum is implemented with heart, skill, and joy.
💡 What You’ll Do- Inspire and guide our teachers to create fun, meaningful, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences
- Observe classrooms and coach educators through supportive feedback and goal setting
- Provide hands-on training in lesson planning, child assessment, classroom environment, and child guidance strategies
- Promote inclusive, anti-bias practices and culturally responsive teaching
- Be a curriculum expert and a collaborative partner for NAC Accreditation and YoungStar standards
- Work with the Center Coordinator team to elevate learning across all age groups—from infants to school-age
- Share your ideas, energy, and enthusiasm through ongoing professional development opportunities and team trainings
- Support summer programming and special agency-wide events
- Foster a team spirit that’s full of warmth, professionalism, and respect
- Are at least 21 years old and have an Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (Curriculum/Program Credential preferred)
- Are Level 12 or higher on The Registry
- Have at least 2 years of classroom experience and 2 years of supervisory/mentorship experience
- Love training and guiding others, and can tailor your approach to meet staff where they’re at
- Communicate clearly and kindly—with staff, children, and families
- Know your way around WI DCF licensing, NAC standards, and best practices in early learning
- Are dependable, emotionally mature, flexible, and endlessly patient
- Are CPR/First Aid certified—or are willing to get certified within 3 months of hire
- Have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
