Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. to work with children and foster families. It is paramount that this person have a positive, strengths-based approach and a sound understanding of social work theory, skills, and interventions. This position requires an ability to work intensively with serious cases, provide in-depth assessments of client strengths, needs, developing goals, plans to reach those goals, and encouraging support to achieve them. This position requires interventions aimed at crisis, supportive, and behavioral nature. Social workers must work in partnership with other agencies- school, Department of Social Services, Guardian Ad Litem, birth and foster families, healthcare, counselors, and other professionals. There is some limited work with biological families during visitation contacts.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with DSS and other outside agencies to coordinate patient care and services.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards and organization policy and procedures.
- Advocate for residents' rights and access to necessary resources.
- Attend court proceedings.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
