What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kids Care Director position at Ebenezer United Methodist Church?
Create regular work schedule for KidzCare workers; oversee process for scheduling KidzCare workers and finding substitutes if workers cannot fulfill their scheduled time; recruit, hire and train all KidzCare workers; maintain a list of KidzCare workers to be called when childcare is needed; coordinate with all church leaders to provide information and processes for requesting childcare for church events and ensuring the building is open as needed; create, oversee, and maintain a safe, clean, caring and constructive nursery environment during worship; create, oversee, and maintain a safe, clean, caring and constructive environment for the KidzCare Ministry; maintain a list of teenage KidzCare workers and ensure that proper paperwork is completed when they turn 18. Keep the Executive Director and Finance Manager updated when workers turn 18; schedule regular CPR/First Aid/AED Training for KidzCare workers; maintain a list of all KidzCare Workers who are certified in CPR/First Aid/AED, which includes the expiration date of their certifications and schedule recertification as needed; keep the Executive Director informed as to how the program is working, who is working and what groups are using the KidzCare program; purchase and stock KidzCare & Nursery supplies; create weekly activities and crafts for KidzCare children; work with KidzCare workers to create and provide summer activities for KidzCare attendees; and abide by the church’s Child, Youth and Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy.
