OverviewThe Fairview Health System Principal Strategic Analysis Consultant (PSAC) is a strategic advisor to the organization identifying, analyzing and presenting strategic opportunities across the health system. The consultant will identify data sources, synthesize strategic opportunities, and partner with colleagues to develop business cases for the organization to act upon. The PSAC will identify market and industry trends to inform strategic leadership of opportunities for growth in key areas for the health system. This role ensures processes are utilized to deliver trusted and timely strategic information and direction to Fairview's operational and business divisions. This individual partners with data engineering and analytics teams to build analytics assets, models, and visualizations that identify or support strategic opportunities. This individual is accountable for identifying and creating market strategies that drive growth and influence strategic investments for the health system. The consultant utilizes presentation best practices to ensure that outcomes and discussions of strategic opportunity are of the highest integrity, statistically rigorous, and actionable. This role requires a deep understanding of the healthcare system, business analysis and strategic analysis.ResponsibilitiesPartner with strategic leadership on identification, analysis and presentation on strategic initiatives and opportunities.Provides bi-directional line of sight between strategic needs and analytics support requirements.Leads discussions with leadership on strategic opportunities and associated data analysis.Partners with analytics engineering teams to identify and integrate data sets for strategic analysis and modeling.Accountable for self-identified opportunity discovery and analysis.Analyzes and models data in partnership with data analytics teams to provide insight and actionable recommendations.Partners with data scientists, operational teams and researchers to develop and implement algorithms for strategic analytics needs.Partners with the data analytics teams, applies appropriate statistical tests to analytical results to provide high quality results.Researches and reviews benchmarking data for comparison, validation, and utilization. Identifies areas for greatest opportunities in strategic growth.Creates written and visual narrative summaries that outline project purpose, methodology, summary of findings, trends of interest, and opportunities for consideration.Provides strategic guidance to operational team members and other departments with Fairview.Displays original thinking and creativity. - Bachelor’s degree in business, Organizational Strategy, Mathematics, Statistics, or other business or quantitative discipline or an equivalent combination of experience and education.Experience
- 10 years of experience in strategic leadership or analysis of healthcare, financial or market segment data.
- Experience in financial modeling, Return-on-Investment projections, and growth market analysis.
- Results-oriented, strong collaboration, problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Handles sensitive and confidential information, regularly exercises discretion and judgment.
- Ability to think strategically, analyze issues and develop recommendations.
- Strategic leadership and executive presentation skills.
- Strong quantitative and analytic skills.
- Ability to think creatively and work collaboratively to address problems.

- Master’s Degree in a Business Administration, Strategy, Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative discipline preferred.Experience
