Overview
This position is responsible for assessing spiritual health needs and providing direct spiritual care and consultation to residents, families, and staff. Within the Spiritual Health Services (SHS) department, the Float Chaplain works with the interdisciplinary team and the Executive Director on site. Work responsibilities include providing worship services, Bible studies or spirituality groups, facilitating support groups, and identifying and responding to the spiritual and emotional needs of residents and staff.

Responsibilities / Job Description
Provides spiritual health services :
- Provides direct spiritual care and consultation to residents, families, and staff based on assessment of spiritual needs.
- Plans, conducts, and coordinates worship services, including special seasonal celebrations and memorial services.
- Provides Holy Communion for residents, clients, and families.
- Serves as a liaison to faith representatives from other spiritual and religious communities to meet the spiritual needs of all residents, including coordination of religious services, sacraments, and other activities.
- Conducts funerals for residents upon request when available.
