We are looking for a Power BI Developer to support the creation of new metrics and reports databases at the direction of the Project Manager, identify strategies to automate work, increase efficiency by leveraging approved tools (e.g., UIPath, UFT), document key procedures to ensure service continuity, ensure that data used in visualizations is accurate and represents the intended information, and identify opportunities to use existing data to provide improved / new insights to the leadership team.
The responsibilities of the Power BI Developer include writing code, analyzing data, and contributing to the design and implementation of Business Intelligence software and Data Warehouse Solutions. The Power BI Developer should demonstrate creativity and innovation, ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment, and possess excellent communication skills. Ultimately, a top-notch Power BI Developer should have experience in software development, be able to keep up-to-date with deadlines, and have strong analytical skills.
Role, Responsibilities, and Competencies:
- Create and maintain metrics database and reports.
- Extrapolate data patterns through advanced algorithms; developing simple graphs and charts to explain how the mathematical information will influence the specific project or business.

Qualifications, Education, and Skills Requirements
- US Citizenship.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, information systems, or related fields.
- Seven to ten years of relevant experience in performing programming, systems administration, technical analytical systems, data engineering, or software testing.
- Extensive industry experience with Microsoft Power BI, as well as some experience in Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, etc.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, ability to design creative, data-driven solutions for business problems using Microsoft Power BI and the broader Power Platform.
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to understand complex processes and communicate technical topics to a non-technical audience.
- Self-motivated, independent thinker who can work with little direction.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Jira, PowerBI, and Python.
Additional Desires and Considerations
- 10-15 years of experience in data engineering or business intelligence development.
- Previous experience supporting DoD or Federal government health agencies.
- CDMP, CISSP, Software Engineering Master Certification (SEMC) or other relevant certification.
- Military or veteran hiring preference.
Preferred work location is within the DC Metropolitan Area. Hybrid work schedule.
