Job Title: Director Home Comfort Americas
Summary: This position is responsible for market development and project coordination relating to applications in assigned market(s). The role is pivotal in shaping our growth strategy and ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This position is part of the global Heating Technology Division of ebm-papst, which generates a revenue of €250 million. The primary focus will be on building a local team in the USA.
Essential Duties of the Job: The essential functions of this job require the person, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform the following:
- Sales Leadership: Collaborate with the VP of Sales and the Home Comfort Team in Germany to achieve and exceed national and market sales targets
- Forecasting: Develop accurate sales forecasts for our territories and factories.
- Pricing Strategy: Prepare and/or approve price quotes for Customer Relations, Field Sales, Key Account Manager, Business Development Managers, and Sales Managers including value added quotes. Focus on special price/delivery requests for new projects. For significant quotes, review with supervisor or headquarter for approval. Quote responsibility includes customers on a direct (OEM) basis (and authorized distributors).
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and recommend strategic initiatives. Track competition, prepare competitive analyses, and devise strategies to stay ahead in assigned market(s).
- Global Coordination: Act as a liaison with the factories and other subsidiaries for special requests and global quote coordination for global accounts in assigned market(s).
- Coordination of factory information: Coordination of factory information (such as new product introduction, changes to existing products, new literature, etc.) with other stakeholders.
- Assist Marketing: with product review for updating catalog/website/promotions/advertisements.
- Provide product/market related technical papers as required.
- Coordinate special projects as needed. Act as “go to” person for sales for special projects/requests.
- Build relationships and create a team environment between departments (Application Engineering, Field Sales, Product Management, Business Development, Key Account Management, R&D, etc.).
- Disseminate leads received from trade shows or from factories for assigned market(s) to applicable Sales Managers/Field Sales.
- Assist with coordination of visits by factory personnel to North America as needed.
- Assist with customer visits/audits as required.
- Travel as required.
- Submit monthly reports to supervisor, due at the end of every month.
- Submit expense reports within one week of travel and/or miscellaneous expenses.
- Provide sales call reports as needed.
- Represent the Company at trade shows and meetings and professional and organizational functions.
- Adhere to the Company’s Travel Policy.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Recommended Education and/or Experience : Bachelors Degree, and experience in the HVAC market.
