Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and process timecards.
- Review and reconcile payroll submissions.
- Respond to employees' payroll-related inquiries and concerns.
- Calculate payable hours, commissions, bonuses, taxes, and deductions.
- Maintain and update payroll records.
- Prepare periodic payroll reports.
- Research and resolve state and local tax issues.
- Apply for unemployment and withholding accounts in new states.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Accounting, or related field.
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong numerical reasoning abilities.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) preferred.
- Proven experience with multi-state, multi-entity payroll is preferred.
- Knowledge of payroll taxes is preferred.
- Familiarity with Paycor or similar payroll software is a plus.
