Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assemble electronic components, including wire harnesses, mechanical connectors, housings, through-hole components, and final assemblies, following established work instructions and quality standards.
- Read and interpret documentation such as customer/EBWE prints, work instructions (WIs), visual aids (VAs), and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accurate assembly.
- Conduct IPC-compliant inspections to verify part placement, solder joint integrity, reflow quality, and through-hole soldering in accordance with IPC-A-610 standards.
- Identify and address defects such as PCB/component damage, missing or misaligned parts, and improper soldering.
- Perform final assembly inspections to ensure products meet quality and performance specifications.
- Properly handle leaded and lead-free PCBAs while adhering to industry guidelines for Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve assembly issues and contribute to process improvements.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred but not required.
- Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
- Teamwork: Strong ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Awareness: Understanding of proper handling techniques to prevent component damage.
- Component Polarity Knowledge: Ability to correctly identify and place polarized components for proper circuit functionality.
- Quality Focus: Commitment to following company and industry quality standards, including IPC-A-610.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify defects, misalignments, and inconsistencies in PCB assembly.
