What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Eby Ford?
This role will mainly be focused on fluid checks and basic maintenance. Typically, a Quick Lube Service Technician will change a vehicle's oil, rotate tires, check and fill fluid levels, inspect steering/suspension and brakes, inspect and replace various belts and filters, check and reset maintenance minders.

Quick Lube Service Technician Responsibilities:
- Change engine oil and filter
- Rotate tires
- Perform multipoint inspections
- Replace engine and cabin air filters
- Replace fuel filters
- Mount and balance tires
- Drive the vehicle for testing purposes
- Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
- Use power tools, hand tools and other automotive equipment
Quick Lube Service Technician Requirements:
Ford Certification is a plus
Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus
Ability to identify worn or damaged vehicle components
Knowledge of automobiles
Effective analytical and communication skills
Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills
Ability to learn new technology, follow repair and service procedures
Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment
High school diploma or GED
Technical degree preferred
ASE certifications preferred
Minimum of 1 year in service department
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills
Positive, friendly attitude
