Key Responsibilities
The Material Coordinator will work closely with the Material Manager and Power team to document and notify offloading crews of upcoming deliveries. This involves updating and issuing a delivery calendar as necessary. Additionally, the Material Coordinator will assist union crews in receiving material, ensuring that the load matches the Bill of Lading (BOL) and completing the SiteSense process for submittal. Other key responsibilities include creating and tracking Overages, Shortages, and Damaged Items (OSDs) found through the IMS system, working with vendors to rectify OSDs, and ensuring that material is stored in the proper section of the laydown yard. The Material Coordinator will also create, print, and barcode items, work with substation foreman/crews to create and track kitted items, perform scheduled inventory control checks, and document in the IMS system. Furthermore, the Material Coordinator will work with substation crews to create request and issue tickets through the IMS system for owner-supplied material and large, valuable contractor-supplied material.
