We are seeking to hire a DB2 / Relational Database DBA to join our team working on a new multi-year award we have within a large Federal Gov t Agency in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role is 80% remote, requiring 2 days onsite every two weeks.
Being a US Cit is REQUIRED and possessing a DoD Secret level clearance (or higher) is required.
This position pays a strong salary package with full benefits (including choice of healthcare plans, dental, vision, life insurance, 3 weeks PTO, 11 Paid Federal Holidays, and a matching 401k).
An option for working on an hourly rate is also available for those not needing a full benefits package.
Role
Responsible for Database Administration for development, test and production environments. Focused on data warehousing, report and complex purge logic. Develop reporting queries, review and implement Database design changes, troubleshoot database issues.
Required Skills
- 7 years of experience within Database Administration (DB2 and RHEL, plus experience any platform such at Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostreSQL, etc)
- 5 years or more experience writing and tuning queries
- Experience reviewing and implementing database design changes
- RHEL experience is required
- Active Secret Level Security Clearance Required
