Summary:
The Director of Analytics will build and mentor the ecommerce analytics team, developing and implementing strategies to leverage data for business growth, improved customer experience, and operational efficiency. This individual will play a key role in shaping the organization's data-driven culture, focusing on innovation, problem-solving, and actionable insights.
Responsibilities:
•Data-Driven Growth: Develop and implement analytics strategies to identify growth opportunities, including customer acquisition, retention, marketing analysis and product performance.
•Strategic Leadership: Partner with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Inventory, Product Development, IT, etc.) to define and prioritize key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliver insights that drive decision-making.
•Customer Insights: Lead customer segmentation and behavior analysis to create personalized experiences and enhance the customer journey.
•Team Leadership: Build and mentor the analytics team, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and process building.
•Technology Optimization: Evaluate and improve data infrastructure, tools, and processes to enhance data accessibility and visualization for all stakeholders.
•Continued Learning: Actively stay current on e-commerce trends, data science techniques, and industry best practices
•Reporting & Communication: Present data findings to executive leadership and stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner, emphasizing opportunities for growth and innovation.
Required Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Statistics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
•7 years of experience in analytics, with at least 3 years in e-commerce or digital marketing analytics.
•Proven experience leading high-performing analytics teams.
Technical Skills
•Proficiency with analytics platforms like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar.
•Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g. Looker, Big Query, Snowflake).
•Expertise in SQL, Python, or R for data analysis and modeling.
•Experience with Netsuite and Shopify is a plus.
