What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Travel Coordinator position at ECAAA AAA East Central?
AAA East Central is looking for an energetic, and driven, individual to join our team and provide Legendary Service as a full-time Group Travel Coordinator in our East Liberty Group Travel Department. Business hours at this location are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm.
Responsibilities:
Functions as the lead for assigned product line(s) communicating effectively with travel advisors, passengers and group vendors
Arranges, secures, and finalizes reservations for a variety of group services including travel by air, bus, rail and boat, and travel insurance
Collects and disburses payments for travel arrangements as required with clients/vendors
Processes client and tour manager documents for all types of group departures
Operates automated reservation and ticket system
Participates in the member publication by supplying content and proofreading
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year Travel industry experience OR extensive personal travel experiences—please describe in cover letter or resume
Detail-oriented and very creative
Strong PC & Internet skills; Experience with an automated reservation system such as Apollo preferred
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Sales-oriented, self-starter
Outstanding interpersonal skills
The selected candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen
