What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver Courier - LA fires response project position at ECC?
Location: Los Angeles, CA
ECC is seeking local candidates for a Driver Courier position working on-site for the LA country wildfires project. Candidates must be able to work on-site at the project location and be able to work overtime, nights and weekends as required. The Driver Courier drives automobile or light truck to deliver messages, documents, packages, mail, and other errands to various project locations. Project start date is immediate and the position is expected to last approximately 10-12 months.
The Driver Courier may perform any combination of the following duties:
- Perform a wide range of project-related activities as assigned by the manager
- Transport office personnel and visitors as required
- Supply runner and deliveries of misc items as needed
- Perform miscellaneous duties and errands
- Obtain and file receipts
- Complete tracking logs and other project documents as needed
- Interface with clients, with professionalism and courtesy
- Provide support and interface between procurement staff and project for project procurement activities
- Aid in completing expense reports in a timely and accurate manner
- In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position
Requirements
- Must have a valid Driver's license and good driving record
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to perform a variety of duties with a sense of urgency
- Ability to work independently
- Proven ability to work effectively with colleagues in multiple locations
- Competent in using Microsoft Office products, email systems, and internet
- Must be able to work extended days and hours
- Travel: Must be able to work on-site at project location and be able and willing to travel between multiple sites.
- Education: High School diploma or GED at minimum.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior ECC experience on disaster or emergency projects in similar capacity desired but not required
- Prior experience with disaster or emergency type project
ECC targeted pay for this position is $21.62 plus H&W $4.93 per hour, up to 40 hours per week. SCA benefits of 11 paid holidays per year, 2 weeks paid vacation after 1 year of service.
