Location: Los Angeles, CA
ECC is seeking candidates for a Site Supervisor position working on-site in Los Angeles, CA for the LA fires debris removal project. Qualified local candidates and candidates with significant fires debris removal project experience are encouraged to apply. This position is full time and provides a full benefits package. This position requires working extended days (including Saturday and Sunday) and extended hours, as needed by the project. Additional compensation may be provided. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions. Project start date is immediate and the position is expected to last approximately 12 months. In this position, you will:
- Manage all work areas in an assigned location.
- Monitor and manage sites and site personnel, to include sub-contractors
- Coordinate and schedule debris removal for all sites
- Monitor and manage strict compliance with contract requirements
- Maintain precise field records and complete field reports
- Coordinate with H&S Officer, Quality Control Officer, Site Superintendent, CQC Site Managers and others for task prioritization and compliance.
- Assist in identifying task specific equipment and supplies to achieve the objectives of the project
- Make recommendations in conjunction with Human Resources for hiring, performance appraisals, and terminations, if necessary.
- In addition to these accountabilities, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position.
- Coordinate with the Project Engineer, Health and Safety Officer, and Quality Control Officer for interaction of task prioritization.
- Compliance with health and safety and quality control requirements as identified by functional officers.
- Assist and lead field teams in achieving task requirements.
- In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position.
Requirements
- Proven ability to implement programs to address complex needs and problems
- Ability to coordinate with staff on various task assignments or environmental projects
- Knowledge of scheduling and budgeting for environmental projects
- OSHA 30
- Minimum of 2 years progressively responsible site supervision experience on large environmental projects, or fire debris removal projects.
- Current 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Construction Management, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior work experience on a fire debris removal project or similar disaster debris removal project
- Previous experience with shipping hazardous materials in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of federal contracting regulations and requirements preferred
ECC targeted salary range for US locations average is $67,900 to $90,000 annually. Additional compensation for hours worked available.
Actual salary offered may be affected by education, training, certifications, experience, skills, level of responsibility, and location.
