Job Description:
Echelon Wine Bar seeks an energetic and passionate individual who is enthusiastic about wine and providing excellent customer service to work in our casual elegant Wine Bar. Full-time and part-time positions are available.
Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of this position are the following:
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests and wine club members;
- Provide an excellent tasting experience to our guests;
- Enhance the Echelon Wine Bar image and brand;
- Promote wine sales and wine club membership enrollment;
- Focus on guests needs;
- Communicates to team members effectively and respectfully;
- Demonstrates enthusiasm about our business, wine and food;
- Stays focused on goals with a priority on teamwork;
- Known as an employee that others want to work with;
- Comfortable with peer to peer coaching;
- Willing to work other positions in the wine bar when necessary;
- Responds to customer complaints calmly and respectfully. Alerts manager on duty to service issues;
- Feels comfortable taking necessary recovery steps to respond to customer concerns;
- Thrives on responding to difficult requests and customers;
- Makes menu recommendations to guests;
- Lists ingredients or common allergens for guests from memory;
- Makes wine and food pairing recommendations;
- Runs food and drink orders for their tables and for other staff members;
- Busses & resets tables;
- Restocks server stations with napkins, cutlery, condiments, and small plates;
- Interacts with other service and cooking staff to ensure speedy and effective operations so guests receive their food as quickly and accurately as possible;
- Promotes wine sales and wine club membership enrollment;
- Takes the time to mindfully taste and understand the wines on the menu.
Qualifications: The individual must exemplify the following qualifications and skills:

- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment;

- Previous experience in related retail or hospitality sales a plus;
- Previous restaurant service experience a plus;
- WSET certification or equivalent a plus;
- Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays;
- Able to be on your feet for 6 hours;
- Fluent in English;
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Compensation: Range from $25 - $40 per hour in total (base pay plus tips). Additional sales commission opportunities are available.
