What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Clinician position at ECHN?
This position provides direct and indirect clinical services to those in need of substance use and / or psychiatric services. Responsibilities include crisis assessment, intake assessment, therapy, treatment planning, case management, and collaboration with the community. The role requires a minimum of master's degree and licensure as a Professional Counselor or Clinical Social Worker. Strong clinical skills, communication, and computer competency are necessary. The clinician must also possess and maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Responsibilities may change from time to time, but key duties include comprehensive assessment, formulation and implementation of treatment plans, completion of required documentation and forms, making appropriate referrals, facilitating skill development, participating in clinical team meetings, and using psychological and physical management techniques when necessary. The clinician must convey warmth, empathy, and respect for the patient as a whole person and demonstrate an awareness of cultural differences in treatment approaches.
