What are the responsibilities and job description for the Language Therapy Expert position at ECHN?
Role Summary
This position requires an individual with strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, and basic personal computer skills in the use of Windows based programs such as Word, Outlook and Excel. The ideal candidate will be able to access reliable transportation for travel between multiple work sites and participate in an interdisciplinary approach for in servicing and community education and in the clinical education of affiliating students.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct and modify evaluations based on the patient's symptoms, level of activity, and medical status
- Establish individualized, appropriate, measurable goals for each patient
- Utilize effective techniques to assist in normalizing speech and language activity
- Document in accordance to insurance guidelines and adhere to the department's policies and procedures
Education and Experience
The successful candidate will have a Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a Master's degree, a current Connecticut license for Speech Language Pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.
