Position Summary : As a Senior Ultrasonographer, you will perform a variety of ultrasound examinations under the guidance of a Radiologist. Your role involves conducting complex diagnostic imaging with minimal direct supervision, ensuring high-quality outputs for our patients.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct a wide array of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, venous, small parts, and breast ultrasounds.
- Assist in interventional procedures and may perform pre-brachy-therapy mapping.
- Utilize independent judgment and advanced technical skills to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
- Maintain accurate records of all ultrasound exams and ensure compliance with universal precautions.
- Instruct ultrasound students in clinical procedures, sharing your expertise and knowledge.
- Coordinate and prioritize requests for both in-house and outpatient services.
- Ensure patient safety, well-being, and privacy at all times.
Education and Certification :
Experience : We prefer candidates with a minimum of two years of experience in a Medical Imaging Department focusing on diagnostic and / or vascular sonography. A thorough understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and sterile techniques is essential.
Competencies : Fluency in English is necessary for effective communication with patients and colleagues. Bilingual capabilities in Spanish are a plus, but not essential. This role requires cooperative teamwork, including participating in a rotational call schedule.
