About the Role
This role requires a graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a Master's degree. You must hold a current Connecticut license for Speech Language Pathology and Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association. Key responsibilities include conducting and modifying evaluations based on patient symptoms, level of activity, and medical status; utilizing effective techniques to assist in normalizing speech and language activity; documenting in accordance to insurance guidelines and adhering to department policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic personal computer skills in the use of Windows-based programs such as Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Access to reliable transportation to travel between multiple work sites
- Ability to conduct continuing education courses to further/improve treatment techniques
