At ECHN, we're seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a per diem Speech Language Pathologist, you will evaluate patients and implement tailored treatment plans to enhance their speech and language functions. Your role includes interdisciplinary collaboration, supervising students, and providing patient and family education to promote independent functional activities.
Job Summary:
This position requires an individual with strong English communication skills, both verbal and written. You must have basic personal computer skills in the use of Windows based programs such as Word, Outlook and Excel as needed for department functions. Your primary responsibility is to provide treatments to patients by evaluating their function and selecting and applying appropriate treatments to improve or restore function.
- Evaluate patients based on departmental standards
- Conduct and modify evaluations based on the patient's symptoms, level of activity, and medical status establishing individualized, appropriate, measurable goals for each patient
- Treat patients with the appropriate and acceptable therapeutic techniques
Responsibilities and Competencies:

- Administering physical agents (modalities) and manual therapeutic technique to attain established goals
- Utilizing effective techniques to assist in normalizing speech and language activity
- Educating patients/families in home exercise programs and/or functional activities in order to maximize independent functional activity
- Determining when a patient has achieved maximal benefit from treatment and recommending discharge if appropriate
