What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern/Apprentice. position at Echo Church?
GOAL: The Echo Internship Program is designed to give individuals the exposure and experience of leading within a multi-site, fast paced, diverse, inner city church in the Silicon Valley/San Francisco Bay Area.
DETAILS:
TIME REQUIREMENTS: Echo Interns are expected to:
- Attend and Serve all day Sunday on the campus they are assigned.
- Attend weekly learning sessions as a group.
- Participate in weekly self-paced online learning activities.
- 10 - 15 hours per week minimum (includes all day Sunday to include class time and scheduled weekday tasks)
DURATION: The Echo Internship Program is a 5 month program
- Spring: February - June
- Summer: July - August: Intensive 6 Week Echo Playbook Bootcamp
- Fall: August - December
MINISTRY ASSIGNMENT: Interns will be assigned to 1. Strategic Leadership Team Member (SLT/Supervisor) and 2. An Intern Program Coach. It’s with the assigned supervisor that our interns spend 80% of their time serving and learning how we do ministry specifically in the areas assigned and how that ministry supports Echo’s overall mission and vision. The Intern Program Coach will stay connect with the assigned Intern to ensure our Interns are receiving the support they need and program expectations are being met.
LEARNING REQUIREMENT: Interns will participate in our ministry learning courses scheduled each month at a location TBD, it’s in our group experience our interns catch the heart and mindset of how Echo does ministry, leadership, and management. Interns will spend 20% of their time within the learning modules.

The Internship Program will determine the learning guardrails that our Supervisors will design learning systems from (ECHO PLAYBOOK). All Interns will learn the same content while enjoying the unique ministry gifts and experience of each supervisor.
